Automation for Construction Laboratories and Quality Control
A cloud-based LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) designed for the construction industry. It replaces manual Excel/Word-based workflows with a fully automated lifecycle — from initial sampling to final report generation.

Key Metrics
Specific results and achievements of the project

Reporting Speed
Reduction in report preparation time (from 40 to 10 minutes).

Calculation Errors
Elimination of errors through built-in formulas and validation algorithms.

Transparency
Real-time testing status visibility for the end client.

Profit Margin
SaaS platform operating margin at scale.

ROI
Investment recovery period driven by labor cost savings.
Project Description
The Challenge:
Currently, up to 90% of construction laboratories rely on a combination of Word and Excel. This leads to a high risk of calculation errors, document loss, a lack of real-time analytics for management, and significant delays (up to 3–5 days) in delivering results to clients. Furthermore, manual data entry into logs and registries forces employees to duplicate their work at least three times.
The Solution:
Labex provides a unified digital ecosystem connecting laboratories and their stakeholders. The system automates calculations for the physical and mechanical properties of materials, ensures compliance with the latest industry standards (GOST), and provides instant status updates to clients via a dedicated web portal.
Implementation:
The project is built on a modern high-performance stack. We developed a flexible Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model to clearly define responsibilities between laboratory staff and client representatives. Additionally, we implemented an automated engine for PDF report generation based on embedded mathematical formulas.
Results:
The platform is a scalable SaaS model with the capacity to support over 1,000 laboratories. Transitioning to Labex reduces reporting time by 70% and eliminates "human factor" errors during calculations. On average, the system saves up to 120 man-hours per technician per month.
